New Backup Childcare Benefit for BMC Residents

The Committee of Interns and Residents at Boston Medical Center is pleased to announce a new benefit: Backup childcare, in the home. The benefit is designed to help you...

• When your child is mildly ill
• When you have to work late or on weekends
• During school vacations and Monday holidays
• Any time when you have a gap in your family care arrangements

Backup childcare is available during the day or evening, seven days/week. Just call Parents in a Pinch from Monday to Thursday, 7:00 AM to 8:00 PM EST; Friday, 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM EST; and Sunday, 5:00 PM to 8:00 AM EST, identifying yourself as a member of the Committee of Interns and Residents at Boston Medical Center. At the end of the day, pay the caregiver her hourly rate of $15.00 (in Massachusetts and Rhode Island). You may use 10 days of childcare through September 30, 2010.

And during the month of March, you can take advantage of a special discount! You pay only 50% of the hourly cost of care. That's only $7.50 per hour paid directly to the caregiver!
