Stop Congress from eliminating Medicaid's GME funding for all teaching hospitals!
Drastic cuts to Medicaid funding that are scheduled to go into effect on May 25, 2008 will severely impair our ability to provide care in our hospitals, clinics and emergency rooms across the country. The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) is set to implement radical changes to completely eliminate funding for GME in all teaching hospitals and additional cuts that will also hit public hospitals.
