Personal Protective Equipment Distributed to Residents at Harbor UCLA
Preparing for the anticipated surge, LA Residents spent weeks collecting PPE for healthcare workers

Los Angeles, CA- Los Angeles County has been hardest hit by COVID-19 in the state. Bracing to be deeply affected this week by the spread in the community, LA County members of the Committee of Interns and Residents (CIR) have been collecting personal protective gear for healthcare workers supporting the Los Angeles community.

While resident physicians have been largely neglected in the current distribution of PPE, CIR members have risen to the challenges of these unprecedented circumstances, organizing PPE donation efforts. On Wednesday, CIR members will distribute PPE to the dedicated frontline workers at Harbor UCLA.

As this pandemic surges across the nation, residents are putting their safety on the line for the well-being of their communities.
