Patient Care Fund
Looking to Improve Patient Care?
Did you know that your predecessors first successfully negotiated for funding for purchases for patient care needs in 1975 when they chose to forego a raise in favor of the PCF?
Today, LAC+USC and Harbor-UCLA has one of the oldest and largest Patient Care Funds, with LA County contributing $1,210,000 and $980,000 respectively.
Every year, information sessions are held at each hospital. Representatives from each specialty attend the info sessions to learn about the applications process. They then determine items(s) of their choice with their respective departments, fill out the necessary applications, and finally present their ideas to fellow residents and fellows from other departments. Funding is collectively determined at an annual voting session in the fall.
Dates for these information and voting sessions will be posted on this page and emailed to each hospital as they approach
