Union Doctors at Harbor UCLA Medical Center stage rally after Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department shoots patient

Torrance, CACIR-SEIU Resident physicians at Harbor UCLA will stage a rally followed by a short march this evening, October 13, 2020, following the tragic recent shooting of a patient by the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department on October 6, 2020.  

Who: CIR-SEIU members  are the frontline resident physicians covering our emergency departments, operating rooms and clinics at Harbor UCLA Medical Center.    

What: CIR-SEIU Residents are outraged that this has happened again near the 5-year anniversary of another patient shooting. Members are calling for urgent measures to address systemic issues in order to ensure the health and safety of patients and staff.  

Where: Outside the Harbor-UCLA Medical Center Emergency Department, on 1000 West Carson Street, Torrance, CA 90502

When: Tuesday, October 12, 2020 at 6 PM.
